Digital exhibition production for an immersive gallery environment

For SXSW London, Pixl supported the delivery of a digital exhibition environment in which LED, lighting, audio and spatial production worked together to bring digital content into the physical space.

The project was built around the relationship between screen, room and audience. Rather than treating digital work as something to be viewed passively, the exhibition used scale, atmosphere and interaction to make the content feel present within the space.

Large-format LED displays created bold visual anchors throughout the venue, while lighting helped define the mood around each artwork. The installation moved between the gallery, the cinema, and an interactive experience, giving audiences space to pause, sit, listen, and spend time with the work.

A key part of the experience was the use of screens not only as display surfaces, but as objects within the environment. This included a portrait LED display featuring a body-shaped Spotify interface, where audiences could scroll through tracks and trigger playback. Rather than presenting music as a standard playlist, the interface became part of the installation’s visual language, turning digital content into something physical, playful, and directly connected to the audience.

Across the exhibition, the production needed to support a wide range of digital content, from large-scale abstract visuals to more intimate screen-based works. Each area had its own atmosphere, but the overall environment still needed to feel connected, coherent and easy for visitors to move through.

Pixl’s role was to help translate this creative vision into a technically reliable and visually strong exhibition environment. LED, audio, lighting and spatial production were brought together to support the artwork without overpowering it.

The result was a space where digital content did not feel flat or separate from the room. It became part of the architecture, part of the atmosphere and part of the audience journey.

What we delivered

Pixl supported the exhibition through large-format LED display systems, portrait LED display elements, audio playback support, lighting and on-site technical delivery.

The production helped create an environment where digital work could be experienced at scale, while still allowing quieter, more intimate moments of interaction and reflection.

Project highlights

If you are planning a digital exhibition, brand environment or live experience that needs to feel as considered as the content itself, Pixl can help bring the technical and spatial pieces together. From LED and lighting to audio, playback and on-site delivery, we support the details that help an idea move from screen to space.
